Art works from my personal practice.

My most recent works explore ways approach monumentality in textile without sacrificing craftsmanship. Even the smallest unit expands in scale, from the thickness of the thread and wefts to the size of each knot.

I’m more interested in the weaving process than the end result, and always try to help the pieces reflect that. Simple weaving structures accentuate materiality, and when the pieces begin to fold in on themselves, the back- and undersides of weaving--normally hidden--are exposed, offering a look at the fundamental essence of the weaving and the weaver.

Ambiguous loss kommer smygande, eller slår en i bakhuvudet med en evig, suddig horisont. Visst fanns det mer snö när vi var små? Vart! Vart har du tagit vägen, kroppen finns att krama men något odefinierat och specifikt saknas. Min sista farväl till morfar, via mobilen med en ocean mellan oss medan jag stod med sovande sexveckorsbebis och man och väntade vid Kämpetorpskolans busshållplats en sen höstkväll: ett overkligt, ensidigt samtal som säger inget om hans vara eller icke-vara. 

Det rymmas allt som har mynnat ut, som har brunnit upp, lösgjorts, höljts.
